Special
thanks to all these good people in Estonia.
My visit in Estonia, though brief, was memorable. There are but two
who I want to thank. Both are American. Both are Peace Corps
Volunteers serving in Estonia.
Carleen Talty, thank you for inviting me to your apartment in Tallinn.
I was tempted to push on once I reached the Estonian mainland, following
my departure from Finland; you invited me to pause. That pause gave
me a chance to see more of Tallinn and to hear more about the Peace Corps
in Estonia. Thank you also for calling Kevin on my behalf and arranging
a place for me to stop en route to Latvia
Kevin Reese, Peace Corps Volunteer residing in a crystal lined mansion.
Thanks for the overnight homestay, dinner and breakfast. The Peace
Corps sure is different from the days of service I have known, both as
a volunteer and years before. But, the spirit, enthusiasm, and hospitality
of our volunteers remains the same. Thanks for sharing your home
and experiences with me.
